... and advanced lapping
Friday, Octber 10th, 2008
Carolina Motorsports Park ... Kershaw, SC

In an effort to bring quality, value, and maybe something a little different to Asphalt Ventures events, I am proud to announce this joint venture with Chuck Hawks and his rEvolution Performance Driver Enhancement clinic.

Driver's have the option of signing up for the normal Asphalt Ventures lapping or the RPDE clinic.

Only 25 seats available for this advanced level driver clinic.  Chuck Hawks, professional coach, will lead the clinic both in classroom, and on the track and skid pad.  Here are a few things you can look forward to:

  • Intensive classroom instruction
  • Exercises to improve basic but extremely important motor skills
  • Communication skills to improve as a driver and team member
  • "In the Zone" techniques
  • Traction/Grip sensing enhancement
  • On-track exercises you don't see in normal DE schools (about 3 hours of clinic exercies and 1 hour of open lapping)
  • Awareness enhancement
  • Chuck Hawk's clear, organized, professional instruction at a fraction of what he charges the pros!

This will be a great way to put into practice many of the things you'll learn in the Speed Secrets seminar in September!  Please read the following requirements on the next page before registering.

RPDE clinic Registration Fee: $190

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are not interested in attending the clinic, we are also offering our normal lapping entry.  After going over schedule details, lapping attendees can expect at least 5 hours of available track time, probably closer to 6.  CMP's new wet skid pad will be available to lapping attendees when you're not on track.   Because we won't be as spread out, I am capping the number of lapping slots available at 40.  As mentioned, the fee has been reduced accordingly.
Lapping registration fee: $140
If you are interested in signing up for the rEvolution Performance Driver Enhancement clinic, you must meet one or more of the following requirements:
  • Advanced or Instructor level DE driver(examples: A or B group with BMWCCA, Blue or Red group with TZC/THSCC, HPDE3 & 4 with NASA, etc.)
  • Competition license in good standing (examples: SCCA, BMWCCA Club Racing, NASA Competition, etc.)
  • Have solid recommendations (if you're an intermediate driver and are interested, please email us with your recent experience, the last two instructors you had, and/or the name of the organization you ran with.)
Drivers should already have a very firm grasp on all the basics of high performance driving.  This clinic is designed to enhance what you already know and introduce new techniques to help you develop even further as a driver.
All attendees will be required to adhere to the following rules.  Clinic attendees must still have their car teched as normal.
